Our story starts in 2012. At that time we were a market research firm and regularly heard from clients how they need data all the time, but the cost and slow turnaround made it impossible. We knew what was coming too, thanks to our CEO’s involvement in Google’s new consumer survey product advisory board: internet-based audience panels. We started to throw around “what if’s”, which quickly turned into team brainstorming sessions, and that was that.
Fast forward 18 months and under the wing of Toronto’s tech community, and supported by MaRS innovation centre and the Canadian Technology Accelerator program, we took our survey tool public. It was then—and remains today—the only platform of its kind: an enterprise-level tool that turns out professional-quality insights on a dime.
Of course, since then we’ve expanded our services to include customer insight and employee engagement and additional items including services like sentiment analysis powered by machine learning and AI, social listening and data scraping. We’ve also been acquired, grown in staff and expanded into the US and Europe—all while holding on to our original purpose: to make quality data and analytics extremely accessible.
